A time of Joy! A time to Celebrate….Jhumroo the world’s biggest Bollywood musical on stage celebrated a non-stop stupendous run of 4 years of live staging at Kingdom of Dreams. Performed with élan by the tremendously talented actors and cast, Jhumroo has kept the viewers enthralled and engaged with its stunning special effects, grand sets, the magical melodies of Kishore Kumar, colourful costumes and a young and contemporary love story.

Launched in the year 2012, Jhumroo, a love story filled with music, dance and drama, is truly Bollywood and truly Kishore Kumar. While the show entertains audiences from across the country, the breathtaking world of Jhumroo also stuns and enthralls. It is a world resplendent with psychedelic retro costumes, glittering stage with mesmeric backdrops, hundreds of dancers and mind-blowing aerial stunts all performed to the melodious music of the legend, Kishore Kumar. Jhumroo brings to life the larger than life experience of Bollywood on stage. Amidst all this razz-matazz unfolds the story of a simpleton, Bhola, madly in love with his dream girl, Meena who in turn adores music idols while Bhola posseses no talent for singing. Jhumroo takes the viewers through a delightful journey of how Bhola overcomes these odds to win the heart and hand of his love interest and they walk away happily ever after!
Put together by some of the best creative minds in the industry, including Manish Arora – the famous couturier, Ashley Lobo, the choreographer extraordinaire, Raju Singh - acclaimed National award winning music composer, hair & make-up by Ambika Pillai, the beauty industry’s brightest star, Jhumroo is a spectacular stage production that has had the audience falling in love, all over again through its lively journey of the last 4 years.

Performing on this occasion was the Bollywood cine star Anshuman Jha who visited the role of Bhola with an intensity that brought out the vulnerability of the simple Bhola who is consumed with the desire to impress Meena and win her affections. Speaking on the occasion Anshuman said, “Jhumroo has a soul. And it will therefore live forever. The reason it continues to enchant the audiences even after 4 successful years is because of Kishore Das blessings and because there is nothing even close to this play as a musical in India. I am very proud and happy to be a part of this amazing team. I was destined to be Jhumroo and am glad Ive been a small part of this journey in the past few months. Am extremely excited for this anniversary show and this entire week I promise you the best theatrentertainment - Jhumroo style. To the next 4 years – come and get entertained Kishore Kumar style!

Viraf Sarkari, Director, Kingdom of Dreams expressed his excitement on the show achieving this milestone and said, “Jhumroo was our second show after Zangooora, and is the world’s biggest Bollywood musical. It is an extremely proud moment for us. We created the show, Jhumroo to celebrate the spirit of the legend of Kishore Kumar and the show has been spectacularly successful and has continued to entertain since its launch 4 years ago. I would like to thank the entire cast and crew of Jhumroo who have worked with dedication and contributed to this success.”

Anumod Gagan Sharma, Managing Director, Kingdom of Dreams said, “Visitors have come in each day to the Kingdom of Dreams to enjoy the show and have truly enjoyed the sublime music of Kishore da. Jhumroo is the world’s biggest Bollywood musical along with Zangoora and we are sure that this milestone will once again establish Kingdom of Dreams as the one and only live entertainment destination that is committed to provide enjoyment for its visitors”

This proud moment was also marked at Kingdom of Dreams with a CSR activity where underprivileged children from the NGO, Bright Futures, were invited to watch this milestone
show and then got to meet their beloved actor Anshuman Jha. The children were mesmerised by the stunning special effects of the show and could not contain their excitement on meeting the star who a little while ago seemed so inaccessible while performing on stage.

A day that was celebrated with joy and happiness by the cast, crew and the teams of Jhumroo!
